Meet Paco, a cheerful little donkey in a black Spanish hat and a red polka-dot neckerchief. He sits on his rush chair in a sunny Andalusian patio and plays the Spanish guitar: his hoof presses the strings on the neck for every note you play, and Lola the gecko scurries along the wall with her castanets.

Toddlers Guitar turns your phone or tablet into a real-sounding guitar made for small hands.

PLAY
Eight blue flower pots hang on the whitewashed wall, climbing like a staircase from the low notes to the high ones. Tap a pot and it rocks in its iron ring and sings while its geraniums shed petals. Hold it and Paco strums the chord round your note with a real flamenco rasgueado, slide across the pots to pluck them one after another, and wiggle your finger to bend the string. Every new note sets a painted tile in the wall below: set all eight and the fiesta begins! Record your own tune and play it back, and try more sounds: electric guitar, magic guitar, flamenco guitar, steel-string guitar, bass guitar and mandolin.

REAL GUITAR
A big Spanish guitar lies across the screen in the guitar maker's workshop, with its six real strings, a slotted head and a mosaic rosette. Press the strings on the neck and strum over the sound hole, or tap a chord (C, G, D, Em, Am or F) and Paco holds it for you. Coloured dots show the notes of the scale, and a knock on the top is a real flamenco golpe.

SONGS
26 songs, from Twinkle Twinkle, La Cucaracha, Cielito Lindo and De Colores to the Spanish Romance, the Carnival of Venice and Bach's Minuet in G, each with its own band.
• Magic mode: any pot plays the next note.
• Follow mode: the right pot glows.
• Listen mode: Paco and the band play the whole song.

BAND
Play with the fiesta band on its stage: cajón, vihuela, guitarrón, trumpet and castanets. Pick one of ten grooves (rumba, sevillanas, bossa nova, campfire, rock, pasodoble, habanera, mariachi, waltz and the Alhambra's tremolo) and every pot fits. Tap the big OLÉ! button and Paco strums along with the band. Add ten tricks with one tap, from Lola's castanets to a big finish.

GAMES
In the Balcony Serenade every line of the song opens a window on the white street, and a neighbour leans out and claps along. Repeat Lola's tunes in Copy Lola, clap a rhythm back for Carmen the dancing hen in Clap with Carmen, and tell high from low with the little swallow and the big church bell in High or Low?

LULLABIES
Paco has his siesta under the moon while little donkey foals hop over a bale of straw, counted one by one, and a soft guitar plays lullabies with harp and a music box. A sleep timer slowly fades the music out.
