Tiny Xylophone is a gentle first music app for babies and toddlers, ages 1 to 5. The xylophone is a little spaceship called the Star Xylophone, and its pilot is Pip, a round moon bunny in a yellow scarf. Together they fly to tiny planets where every note wakes something up: flowers grow, stars light, and eight little residents sit on the bars and sing along with your child. Every touch makes a sound at once, every finger plays, and sliding across the bars makes a sparkly glissando. There is nothing to read, nothing to lose and no timer to beat. Little hands simply play, and the whole planet answers. Eight tiny planets to visit Berry Planet with its jelly Berry Babies, Ocean Bubble with baby fish and a singing whale, Jungle Drop, Snow Globe with penguin chicks, Dino Valley with baby dinosaurs, Candy Cloud with gummy bears, Clockwork Moon with wind-up toys and Dream Star with sleepy cloud lambs. Each planet has its own bar material, its own sound, its own music and a special guest who arrives if your child keeps playing. The real clock brings day, sunset and night, when the residents put on pyjamas and the music gets softer. A magic mallet, a slow and fast tempo, Echo Pip who plays back what your child played, and a rainbow when all eight bars are played in order. Star Concert 36 classic public-domain children's songs, each with its own little picture story. A friendly comet flies to the next bar to play and simply waits; nothing ever goes wrong. In Listen mode the residents perform the song as a show. Six music games Star Painter: notes put stars in the sky and a little tune joins them into a constellation that comes alive. Rocket Launch: play the bars up from low to high to fill the rocket and fly it to the moon. Peekaboo Planet: a coloured glow shows where a friend is hiding; play that colour and it pops out laughing. Space Bakery: every note adds sprinkles to star cookies and planet cakes. Echo Moon: the moon sings one to four notes and your child sings them back. Robo Dance: a little robot learns a dance move for every bar and performs the show. Star School A museum of 12 real mallet instruments from around the world (xylophone, marimba, glockenspiel, vibraphone, balafon, gamelan, steel pan, kalimba, celesta, music box, tubular bells and handbells) to see and hear. Long and Short shows why long bars sing low and short bars sing high. The Musical Alphabet sings C D E F G A B C and do re mi, and the Rainbow Bridge puts the colours in order. Make and dream Melody Rocket is a first composer: put stars on eight colour lanes and the rocket plays your child's melody (up to 12 saved). My Xylophone lets your child design their own ship: bar material, colours, hull, mallets, lights and stickers. Moon Lullabies brings 10 soft lullabies, a warm night light and a sleep timer. The Star Book collects 64 stickers, and a gift rocket brings a present every day. What your child learns The musical scale, up and down, high and low, following a simple song, listening and echoing a melody, colours in order, note names, the mallet instruments of the world, a steady beat, fine motor skills and two-hand coordination.
