Pop, count and cheer! Number Balloon Pop is a gentle, beautifully drawn maths game for preschoolers, built on how young children really learn numbers. Fourteen balloon worlds, each with its own animal friend and its own music, turn the first steps of maths into hands-on play: counting things one by one, making a number, seeing small amounts at a glance, number order, comparing, adding and taking away, teen numbers, pairs that make ten, the number line and patterns. No reading needed, no words at all: a friendly little hand shows every new move, so the game works in every language. Every count plays a rising tune, and the last number glows to show "that's how many". Mistakes have gentle, visible results (a basket that will not lift, a balloon that floats back) and the game shows the way. The level quietly follows your child, a little harder when it's easy, a little easier when it's hard. 14 NUMBER WORLDS, 14 FRIENDS • Balloon Meadow with Pip the fox: tap each balloon to count it; the last number is how many • Basket Ride with Mimi the kitten: the sign shows how many; fill the basket and lift off • Dot Party with Spike the hedgehog: a quick peek at the treats; which balloon shows as many? • Number Train with Gigi the giraffe: load the wagons 1, 2, 3 … and find the missing numbers • Rocket Countdown with Rocky the raccoon: 10, 9, 8 … blast off! • Big or Small with Hugo the hippo: which bunch of balloons will fly higher? • Adding Garden with Koko the koala: carrots hide behind a cloud, more join them: how many now? • Flying Birds with Tully the turtle: some birds fly away: how many are left? • Teen Town with Leo the lion: a full ten and some more make 11 to 20 • Snow Writing with Sunny the seal: trace every numeral in school stroke order • Make Ten with Momo the monkey: fill the ten frame with bananas • Hop Count with Dina the dinosaur: roll the die and hop along the number track • Pattern Parade with Nutty the squirrel: what comes next on the string? • Sleepy Sheep with Wooly the lamb: count the sheep over the fence and give each a pillow BUILT ON EARLY MATHS RESEARCH Every world follows the learning steps preschool maths research describes, with pictures first: dots, ten frames, a number track and real things to count. The number track game is the kind of board game shown to build a strong sense of numbers. Rounds start easy and grow with your child. ART AND MUSIC MADE FOR THIS GAME Every picture, character and animation was drawn for Number Balloon Pop, and every world has its own little band: a waltz in the meadow, a chugging train, a dreamy space tune, a dinosaur stomp and a lullaby for counting sheep. 84 STICKERS TO COLLECT Fill balloon jars to win stickers: flowers, kittens' toys, cupcakes, rockets, dinosaurs, snowmen and many more.
