Have been playing since shortly after launch, and overall I enjoy the game and have spent money on it. Recently, however, several changes have been made that degrade the experience. Before, participating in events only cost 5 energy, so you were able to do 4 events before needing to wait for more as you have 20 max. Then the cost moved up to 6, and now 8- and there have been zero in game notifications about this. There haven't been new cosmetics or horses other than holiday ones in far too long.

You know the game is bad when you don't know if you'll be getting a perfect jump or a refusal. The jumping action is impossible to time. It's like the success is determined by a random number generator and has nothing to do with your actions. Most of the animations are ugly. The grooming tools are horribly overpriced. It seems as if you should be able to choose your starter horse, but you can't. However, the dressage mechanic is unique and does not suffer from the issues that jumping does.

I would have loved to try this game but was unable to. After initial download and providing my email address, the game refuses to open and closes. My device is listed as compatible, and internet signal reports as excellent in both 4G LTE Mobile or 5G Wireless connection to home router. Still crashes. My storage is more than 50% available, not sure if this needs more or not. I am very disappointed. Hope others have better luck!
