The app is a lot like Duolingo, except it's for learning ASL. It's easy to navigate and learn ASL as a beginner. I was really enjoying it overall! The "slow down" button does help me to learn the quicker signs easier. HOWEVER... It basically gives you an ultimatum- You can't progress without PURCHASING a subscription. Even with the promise of a 7-Day Free Trial, I am still feeling like it's really expensive! Options are to pay $18/monthly, $48/billed every 3 months, or $120/billed annually.

I was looking for a way to learn ASL after finding out that I'm losing my hearing. After researching apps to learn with, Lingvano: Sign Language was the app that I chose to use as a tutor. I really enjoyed the free lessons. It was extremely easy to learn with the training and visuals. Unfortunately, I can't afford the price. But, if you can afford it, this app is the best.

I was originally a college major for deaf studies and ASL interpreting and the program was discontinued. I had about a year left and switched my major to special education. I have been working with more students who need or use ASL and learned the hard way "If you don't use it, you lose it". The app is definitely pricey but worth it. I was able to pick up very quickly but it's great as a refresher as well! I do have so feedback but I don't have enough word space for it. It freezes sometimes.
